From Menards I got Elevator bolts. We tacked a nut to the angles, then the elevator bolts screw into these welded nuts. We topped the bolts with a KnobLooks great! What did you use for the dial feet?
Not as stable. Needs to be rock solid with no movementWhat is the point of these? Why can't you just clamp your rifle in a sled to do this?
I looked at the one they made. It's well built and very nice. I was able to get all of the material for free and I enjoy doing projects like this.TargetsUSA makes one. It’s the one Frank and Marc use in there PR classes. Works great
I get it, I personally feel $400 is a bit steep for these, but there is a lot of extra touches here and there that add cost. Extra machining (logos), cerakote, etc... It wouldn’t be a bad example to pattern your own off of. I’ve used this one, it works great. I think the basic principle of mounting a flat pic rail to a heavy as shit chunk of metal, that you can finely adjust the position of, will work out. No need to put canted rail on it.I looked at the one they made. It's well built and very nice. I was able to get all of the material for free and I enjoy doing projects like this.
Three points to level is the way to go for sure. I was toying with mine and probably should have gone that route to. It looks good, nice craftsmanship.
