ah, the western part of the U.S. - it must be nice to be out there living the dream. The deer in Virginia, yea, nothing like that but they still taste good

PGS, always love the pics.

Re: Scouting Mule Deer..

Looking good. This thread reminds me that now that I have a house where I can shoot in my backyard, I need to order an archery target so I can get the bow ready for opening day in 2 weeks.

Cant Wait!

Re: Scouting Mule Deer..

i mean tell us about the rifle... i am always interested to see what people are using out there. Especially when you do find "the one" to be hunted, people tend to go all out.

Re: Scouting Mule Deer..

I've never in my life seen deer like that, even in pictures. If I didn't know that such a thing was impossible, I'd say deer-elk hybrid!

Very good looking animals you have there. Post pictures of the kills when you get them.

Re: Scouting Mule Deer..

Nice looking deer, I worked out in Nevada this year and saw mule deer for the first time and they are bigger than I thought. I think it would be great to go out there hunting. For the guys in Virginia, I feel for you. I was out there for about a year and a half, I couldn't believe how small the deer are.
