My Vudoo feeds most ammo pretty flawless and even the last lot of Eley Match. I found a new lot it shoots well but for some odd reason it doesn’t like to feed it at all. I filed the front of the mag and made the 45 degree shelf as suggested and it still didn’t seem to work. Anyone had any pics of there’s to make sure I have filed enough? I will be disappointed not to be able to shoot this lot of Eley, its probably the best lot of ammo I have ever had for this rifle.

should not every gun you own feed what ever ammo you put in it flawlessly with the least amount of problems be it expensive ammo or the cheap stuff ? let alone a gun costing as much as a vudoo's do ? but I am happy that your gun makes you happy and works well for you .

You can ask Vudoo to send you an Eley Follower for the magazine if the filing didn't work. I'd just email them to ask them for a picture. I spent the weekend with Vudoo and was considering switching over to Eley for my Vudoo since it's easier to spot the silver bullet and asked what I needed to do. He said first thing is the filing and the 2nd thing is the follower.

The issue is that Vudoo was designed to be control fed and it doesn't use a feed ramp. Many other rifles are standard push feed so the bullets just slide on a feed ramp into the chamber. Not much can go wrong when you have feed ramps. So Vudoo was designed to feed Lapua ammo which doesn't have those ridges on the bullet head that Eley EPS ammo has and since there's no push ramp to slide the ammo up, the Eley ammo gets caught on the edge of the magazine due to the dimensions of the bullet.

A lot went into trying to get the bullet into the chamber unscathed for the Vudoo. And that does cause complications when things don't quite meet perfect tolerances in the magazine and ammo.

If you want something that will shoot anything, without adjustment or fiddling, I'd just get a Tikka or a CZ.

To be honest, with the target sizes of the general PRS/NRL22 competitions, Having a little more tolerance to random shit on the Vudoo would be nice, even if it cost me a slight decrease in group size.

Here's a simple fix that ended the feeding issues I was having with my 360. Put 10 rounds in a mag and watch the bottom of the mag as you close the bolt. If the mag moves rearward at the bottom as you close the bolt it can cause feeding problems. A simple fix is a strip of velcro on the rear of the mag to shim it up and limit this movement.

My Vudoo has disappointed me severely in reliability to the point that I am going to go back to a Bergara or CZ. I have tried it in MPA, Manners, KRG Bravo, and now JAE with constant feeding issues. It is 100% not how I am loading the mags. I have also filed a little on a mag or two without a difference. Only use Center X. Purchasing a Vudoo has been my biggest gun purchase regret ever.
Tried contacting Vudoo about it? This sounds like a pretty extreme case.

Emailing them today. In their defense, they did not barrel it. I’m not trying to bash Vudoo, but this one has been one problem after another. Last match it went to the truck after I dropped 18/20 on the first two stages due to not being able to feed a round. I shared my sons Bergara to finish the match with 100% reliability.

Who barreled it? It seems the person who barreled it should just fix it? I watched a bad barreled RimX have miserable failures too.

I had a bad custom barreled T1X have issues ejecting and feeding.

And if you had a bad barreled action, maybe the timing was off and now the extractor/ejector claws are damaged on the bolt too. That happened with my Tikka. Didn't time it right and chipped my extractor.

Seems odd to complain about the reliability of a Vudoo when someone did a custom barrel job. I could easily screw up a Bergara or CZ with a poor barrel job too.

It was done by a gunsmith who works closely with Vudoo. Don’t want to name names. I have reached out to Vudoo for assistance, and from what I have heard they will take care of me. When/if it gets fixed I’ll be the first to talk them up. I also agree that a bad smith can mess up anything, but this is a guy who builds a ton of rifles for people all over the country and I’m hoping this one is just an anomaly.
Any of the gun smiths that I spoke to Vudoo about that they recommend said they would warranty and stand behind their work 100%. So it is odd that the Smith isn't looking at fixing it.

Hopefully it's an anomaly. I MD local matches here for the past 2 years and have only seen 1 consistent failing Vudoo which was really bad mag issues in an MPA. The other 11 Vudoos haven't had issues except for the broken bolt stop on one of them.
