I see a lot of people recommending the SG Pulse over the send it. Wondering if anyone has run both and likes one better?

I have a bunch of send it's but they have some drawbacks.
-the battery is a pain in the ass to replace
- fiber gets washed out in bright sun ( especially with sun to rear when shooting)
-battery life on some units is really bad.

Before buying more I was thinking of giving the SG a try. It appears to be a big bright color flash that may not have the same drawbacks?

Compared to a send it with Brant ACI, do you notice the SG Pulse in your peripheral or do you need to come off scope to check it?

I also know there is a new send it level coming out but it's not for sale yet.

I ordered both, kept the Pulse. Set up on the back of the rifle it's pretty in your face, even in the sun, and no need for a fiber kit. It's super easy to use the app to change brightness, see battery level, calibrate and more. The battery will easily last a couple days, plenty for a 2 day match. Charging it is easy as well, could charge it off a battery bank in between stages if you forgot the night before.

Been very tempted to grab a pulse to play with but now I may just wait on this.

I have a bunch of send its and had a few pulse. I enjoy the simplicity of the send it for matches, easy to turn on and off without uncertainty of which mode it is. The pulse may be better for training, but the consistency of the send it, is why i only run them now. I also like having the 5 lights vs blue green red. So i know how far off i am to make the adjustment to level. More lights is a bigger movement, 1 light is micro adjust.

I like that the Sendit lights are less invasive in terms of my only seeing them fully if I want to. The pulse is distracting. We all rely on these tools differently and some can use them and others find them distracting as they don’t fit our process.

All this talk about electronic levels lately made me pre order one. Hopefully get it before end of summer.

One made in America/Canada (Sent-It).
The other made in China, but has more capabilities other than a level.(SG)

I haven’t had a problem with battery life on the Sent It, and I put a tab of tape on the batteries so they aren’t hard to remove if I ever need to change them.

The Pulse is almost too big and bright even at lower settings indoors. I put a piece of gaffers tape over the LED leaving 1/8” sliver at the bottom or side depending on the rifle. For competition I can see the desire to go big. Also been using a pulse to check on scope level, or a bubble and a pulse to set up a scope. So easy and I dislike bubbles.

Just got my SG Pulse today. I am really impressed so far. The app really seams pretty awesome. Install was simple. The setup and calibration using the app was impressive. The app definitely shows a lot more data than I thought it would. For you guys that have been using them, is there anything I should know or watch out for? What are you guys setting the “Level Limit” at? It comes set at 0.4* and that seems REALLY tight just handling the rifle.

Nice. I set mine at 1.0 for now after just playing with it on a table. I guess that may change after some time behind it. I wonder where the guys that have been using them for a while have theirs set.

What are your first impressions vs your Send Its?

I debated between the two as well and after reading I decided I wanted the send it level which was a simple level I didn't want to deal with another app and all the extra stuff. I have the send it level mounted on my area 419 mount low left I can see it no issues but after having it a bit not sure it's even worth it..... I have the area 419 bubble level in top for a backup and tend to just use that one more. If I had to do it over I prolly wouldn't of grabbed a send it level but I haven't used it in a match yet that will be in May so maybe it will change my mind on the clock

Just finished an ocular adapter for SG Pulse on TriggerCam 2.1 ,will shortly be availible once i make some stock , its a snap on fit so no adhesive used.

*two different fiber optic used on the prototype to test different diameters ,unlike sendit pulse does not have a led ladder there is no point in having 4 or left and right as they all glow in the same color ,was even considering using just one fiber ,short unobstructed fiber path might be most beneficial

The “on the clock” factor is what makes me appreciate the digital levels over a bubble. For me it is much easier to reference a colored light with my off eye than view a bubble. On the clock is where the ocular setups with either level system really shine I think too, you can stay 100% focused in the scope and track state of level

Pulse vs Sendit:

I have used the Sendit for a while, porting one level from rifle to rifle. Very easy to calibrate to scope mounted levels.

I bought two Pulses, for about the price of a Sendit. The Pulse is very easy to use without a phone. (I can’t see anything about the phone app that would make me want to get it.) It takes about 10 to 20 minutes to learn and memorize the manual for use. The instruction I used was the video on the SG website.

The glitches are:

To calibrate it, it takes a fast short and long button push. That took a min to figure out. Too slow a button push only changes the Pulse to a (useless) ‘stability’ mode. With the Pulse on, one (only) push of the button will cycle the Pulse between modes. Easy to see that it is the wrong mode, and easy to change back, but it is stupid.

I accidentally bought extra charging cables, as the sale site didn’t say that charging cables are included. I’m glad now, realizing that spare cables are prob a good thing to have. The cables are unique to the Pulse.

The pic rail mount comes setup for mounting on the right side of the rail, I think. Easy to reverse, but it seems like a misunderstanding of some kind… The pic rail mount is low and fits under all of the scopes that I have. It fits all of the rifles I have, without any interference.

I also bought the mlock mounts, which was a waste of a few bucks.

The upside are:

It fits a rifle well, better than the Sendit.

It is high visibility, easy to see with my left eye. No fiber kit is necessary.

Reasonably priced.

ETA: I prefer the Pulse to the Sendit at this point. Rechargeable is preferable. Two instead of one, spare at hand, is good. I wasn’t ready to buy a spare Sendit, for its price…
