im trying to restore a "field expedient" m48a sniper rifle i got about a year and half ago. it had bases silver soldered on to the top of receiver and held there with a stud the bases sat on. from my research i found out it mustve used a clamp type mount that tightened down onto a weaver type base. the scope was a ON2 or ON2L.
this is some of the pics of what im starting with. it has a shaved area ahead of the receiver in the top handguard which fits my hand perfectly, so it was used to carry it with one hand
im looking for a scope and mount. i am having bases made at a local machine shop. anyone with either of these parts or any leads on one, please message me
