Set a goal to hit a mile…mission accomplished

Between creeping on this forum (finally registered) and YouTube, I guess I was able to gather enough knowledge to accomplish one of my goals of hitting a mile! Only been a couple years since I started reaching out with rifles and getting into the science of it all but I’m hooked. Got out to my spot just as the sun was coming up and set up a freshly painted target. I was able to get 4 in a row on target in one set. I got some video that’s cool… trying to figure out how to post it. Crazy it was like 8 seconds before I heard the steel ding! Not bad for a 6.5cm. Shooting 140g ELD match factory Ammo. I was just about maxed on my elevation…I’ll be looking to add another platform eventually so I can reach my next goal of 2miles!

That’s a small target! I’m still very much a newb when it comes to this stuff but I’m always learning.

1) The learning never stops
2) The rabbit hole never ends

Congrats man. It's always the best feeling getting your first hits at 1 mile. Mine was 2018 I remember that day very well haha

That is fantastic! This is my current goal as well. I am still early in the process but the hardest part in Northern Va is finding places within reach to do it.

Yeah it took my some time to find a spot. I have to drive just over an hour to get there but it’s worth it. Longest range around me goes out to only 800yds.

... 800 Yards within an hour! That would be a dream come true around here LOL SC gets me at a mile on an actual range.
