setup rmr on ACOG

I run 3.25, but only because it’s also NV compatible. Otherwise I’d probably run the bigger dot.
RMR type 2 is same footprint as type 1 but has adjustable LED and all models are NV compatible it appears after I did some digging on the website. Thanks for the advice.

For red dots I also prefer the 50m zero but for ACOGs and ELCANs that have a BDC reticle I zero them at 100m. POA/ POI using the 100m stadia line. Doing this I never had an issue with the following stadia lines lining up. Although any more I like to stay away from BDC reticles and have pretty much switched my optics over to something that is in mills, such as the Vortex 1-6’s

I do my 45° RMRs at 50yds. Relatively easy process and the intent is to run them as a primary in close quarters or as a backup if the LPVO somehow goes down.

If I have the extra time I might check them at 200 to tweak the windage, but I don't get too hung up on that.

I set up this 8 MOA RMR/ 6x48 ACOG chevron reticle HK MR556A1 tripod assembly with a 25 yard zero for the red dot; the big ACOG has very good light gathering optics in low light conditions. Use this combination at dusk / dawn to eradicate varmints off a grass airfield as the rascals could dig some landing gear size potholes. Then there was the Biblical references scandal which several of my optics were blessed.
