Well first post here, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Tom, 24, active duty, not a sniper, nor a wanna-be... Just Air Force bacon that wants to learn more about long distance shooting. No doubt you can read my not interesting profile, but I thought I'd be friendly and say hello.
My first long distance rifle was a 700 LTR and it was all downhill from there. It was eventually traded off (foolishly).
Anyway, here's my current rifle (courtesy of a poster here, albeit a quiet one).
Specs:
Winchester Stealth action
Mike Rock 11.25 5R barrel
Badger Rings
Badge Base
McMillan A4 "sniper" fill stock
CDI DBM inletted by Jeff
Standard winnie trigger adjusted to 3 LBS
Weaver Tact 3-15X50 scope
No very recent pix, but I've refinished the barrel with Alumahyde II Black
I'm saving for something better for the scope, but it fulfills the job well, considering the price tag. I think as I become more proficient, I'll notice its shortcomings more. I'm being pushed towards mil/mil more everyday, so I think somethign Nightforce or S&B will be in my future.
Hope you at least enjoyed the pix, because I'm no Stephen King.
Take care, and Merry Christmas
