SH Withdrawls!!!

I was suffering a sever case of SH withdrawls for the last week! Got assigned to the Wallow Fire here in Arizona last week and spent it as a Task Force Leader for a structure protection force outside of Eagar. Even though the news reports only 6% containment the incident is winding down and I demobed today. I can see I have a lot of catching up to do. I will try to post some pics tomorrow. Glad to be home and back the witht he family!

A couple of pics from the Wallow Fire.

This was our staging area above South Fork.

South Fork viewed from our lookout point.

Burnout op of the dozer line we put in behind South Fork.

Amazingly only 32 structures were lost or have been lost. This fire is currently the second largest wildfire in Arizona history with the Rodeo-Chediski being number one a 467k acres. The big difference is the Rodeo-Chediski fire burned 600+ homes.

I love the look of that land with real wide open Pines forest.I would love to come to the USA and do a horse and shooting trip -great place

If you ever make that trip, and transit Colorado, I'll take you to my club and we can take a trip into the mountains as well.
