Shilen Standard Trigger in a Rem 700, LH.

A long time ago, a customer ordered a Shilen standard Rem 700 trigger.

In reading the installation instructions, all it says is "remove safety and install on new trigger".

Does anyone know if this means a LH safety would fit the trigger? I don't want to pull anything apart only to find out it won't work.

But the question needing an answer first is "does the Shilen trigger offer any advantages over the Remington X-Mark Pro trigger that came with the gun?"

Thanks

Re: Shilen Standard Trigger in a Rem 700, LH.

Tim, can't answer all your questions but I have been looking at the same trigger to replace my x-pro and what I found was that it is a good upgrade and you can set the weight where you want and is reliable. The one down side was the trigger blade it self is narrower(sp) than the Rem trigger but still a good upgrade. Not much but hope it helps.
