Rifle Scopes shipping a scope

I have a Leupold VX-III with fine duplex reticle in the fore sale section and a person from Australia wants to purchase it.

is it legal for me to send this to him in Australia?

The VX-III with a duplex reticle is not controlled by ITAR. Leupold does have a vendor restriction policy for authorized vendors to not export their scope though, so we cannot not. YOu can export non ITAR scopes. You may want to make sure that Australia does not have any other rules or regulations. We do ship quite a few vendor allowed brand scope to Australia though including: Weaver, Bushnell, nikon, Zeiss.
