Hey everybody, I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving:

So my question pertains to recent negotiations between myself and a fellow hide member about a firearm I have for sale on the site. As part of the deal I offered to throw in the brass and Nosler RDFs I have left. I know you can't ship live ammunition and firearms together, but can I ship the brass and RDFs in the same box as the firearm? We're trying to avoid having multiple boxes and two different shipping costs.

Personally, I wouldn't see why not because nothing goes boom, but thats just my assumption.

Sure, they are just components and inert components at that. Live ammo is restricted so that if the gun is stolen it is not "loaded" also. Primers and Powder are restricted due to the explosion/fire hazard obviously. Those can be shipped with and Hazmat fee, but I am not sure they can be shipped by the average everyday john doe..

For it to be hazmat, something needs to go boom. Primers or powder or something. Lead, copper and brass is no problem. It may or may not be cheaper to send 'em separate, depending on how you ship it and the weight though. You can send the brass and bullets directly to the buyer.
