Hi folks, as the header says, are there any systems in use which are readily available ??
These times of high technology must have some sort of setup that will do this? I've been trying to think of stuff I could adapt to do the job, but have had no flashes of inspiration as yet !
Was trying to figure out how to hook up my muffs(which have a headphone socket in them) to my hand held radios somehow; or to tuck some headphone/microphone setup into the muffs.
Any ideas anybody ?
Thanks, Red

Re: Shooter spotter wireless communication

You need a transceiver that has the VOX option(aka hands free) that can be selected when you need it. Quality systems can be operated on frequency split. Your better ones can add Freq. hopping w/scramble. If you have a good Ham radio club near you get involved with them and learn well.
Any transceiver can be quickly modded to operate on the freq's you want, you are/will only be limited by your ability, or found because of it.

Also a company called hear-pro is working on a custom in ear earpro that has a Bluetooth chip in it so one could communicate with someone 30 ft away. I think it would also have the ability to pair with a phone.

I see you are in New Zealand. He can send over a home ear kit and you send it back and he makes the earpro from that.

Check it out at www.hear-pro.com
