The other day Jered needed to test some loads in his 284 so we hit the range. After playing with the chronograph it was time for some goofing off. So, Jered jumped up on the bench for a couple shoots at the 700-yard plates. That first round he missed wasn't off by much. The second shot nailed the target though. I was impressed.

22x22" plate

I was trying to wait until Mark turned the camera off so I didn't get caught looking like a chump but I guess it worked out this time. We also found out that two huge cups of strong African coffee will not improve your skill set.

I wish I had taken a picture of the target. The hit was certainly under MOA. The miss, LOL, well was a miss. But Jered knew it the second he squeezed the trigger. We were all pounding the coffee that morning and Jered does get VERY shaky with coffee in his system. :p

This shows the target area a little clearer than the video.

And a shot from the front of his body positioning...

I like it! A good, solid, classic looking kneeling position...
Add a good tight sling and he'd really be locked in

Note to self: The use of a rear 'bunny ear' bag under the folded leg may improve the overall stability of the kneeling position.

I'll put that little gem away for future use.

Great little trick. I have a real problem getting my foot to lay down flat. This is a great idea.
