Shooting a picatinny rail and a front rest???

I'd like to use a front and rear rest for load development on my AR10, any rail covers I've found grip the front rest too much and is counterproductive.

Isn't there something that attaches to the forearm that is a smooth flat surface so the gun will ride the bag??? I know I've seen them before but can not find them anywhere. Is my attempt counterproductive and I should just use the bipod??
