I searched but didn't come up with much.

I have a tent pole type bungee collapsible tripod that I'm rather fond of. It is tall enough for high kneeling stuff, but no taller. Also good for low sitting. Problem is that it is pretty flimsy, likely designed for light weight hunting rifles. I would like a similar tripod, but thicker and sturdier. I have a set of shooting sticks from Primos. Either the Pole Cat or magnum, not sure. I'd like something like that but in a tripod format. Any ideas?

I haven’t tried bog pod. Have both tall and short Primos trigger sticks tripods gen2. To flimsy with 15 pound or more rifle. Ok for regular off the store rack rifle under 300 yards. The swivel heads have a lot of wobble but the “V” rest screws off and I tried a pig saddle on it. Still wobbles but might be ok with a range finder. Might try that next time out. Super light weight though and fast to adjust. I’d say the same things for the Harris 13-27 extended out that I’ve been messing with.

The BogPod is good for spot and stalk type hunting and works particularly well with a carbine length AR with a round handguard, they fit very well in the saddle mount that comes with it. They are however light weight and not well suited for a heavier rifle if thats what you actually want they are made for sporter rifles and packing around in the woods.

Thanks for the replies so far. Some were very helpful, others were very funny. Either way, good stuff.

I have several professional grade shooting tripods, along with a Hog saddle and a Pig saddle. About to get some RRS stuff to round it out. None of that replaces my need for what I asked about.
