    Hey guys,
so i have a buddy that used to work in the aerospace industry and aquired some sorta super ridiculous titanium that was used in some sorta nasa program. True or not idk but doesn't really matter. My questions are 1st) has anyone ever used titanium rather than steel to shoot at? 2) has anyone ever heard of using titanium as armor?

    Its 6al4v .220 thick

I think it would be too soft to be much good as armor. You will punch hole in it quite quickly as a target. The virtues of Titanium are corrosion resistance, can take a lot of heat before strength begins to change, and good strength to weight.

I used to think titanium would make a shitty target until my buddy hung a piece at the farm. We have blasted the hell out of it at 550 yards with up to 300wm with nary a dent. I do not recall the thickness or the specific alloy.
