I am looking at getting into NRL22 and taking my boys along. I am just 5'5" and am looking for a 10/22 stock that has shorter LOP.

Also curious what power scope is typically used in NRL22?

As for as the kids, I have a kids stock on one 10/22. Will get a budget stock for them. Will upgrade when their shooting warrenty it.

Thanks

It depends on your budget. You might look at something like the Magpul X-22 with adjustable length of pull via spacers:

Or if you want to spend some money, get yourself a chassis and adjustable stock. I've got a Kidd chassis with a Luth-AR MBA-3 buttstock that's highly adjustable.

You'll also need an AR grip for that too. There are many to select from based on your preference.

The X22 and MBA-3 can be found at better prices. I provided manufacturer links for you to check out the product.

I'd suggest getting a first focal plane scope that can go up to ~24x. While you often don't need that much magnification in NRL22 (I usually stay at 14 or less), there are times when the higher power is useful such as when the course of fire includes paper at 100 yards. Being able to see your hits on paper allows you to adjust your fire. My favorite scope for the money is the Athlon Midas TAC 6-24x50 with the APRS3 (Xmas tree) reticle.

Quite a few options for chassis/stocks that accept at style but stock. Use a carbine tube and you can go that little bit shorter.
Look at Rigid Alloy. I got one for a Savage and it is perfect for the kid size person.
