Shortest Barrel for a 7WSM?

Building my next rifle. The rifle will be largely used for competition. Goal is for the rifle to remain suppressed MOST of the time. I would, however, like the rifle to perform well without a suppressor for cases where a suppressor is not legal. What is the shortest length where the 7 WSM can still perform? I was thinking a 23" barrel.....

I am running a 24" barrel. Using R17 yesterday (60 degrees) and pushing the 162gr Amax, I was getting 3150fps. Which is plenty fast for that bullet. I plan to run suppressed as soon as the ATF decides I am a good guy.

22" is the shortest I have ever heard of anyone running on a 7WSM.
