shot 1000 yards for the first time

This past weekend I hit 1000 yards for the first time. I used my Fulton Armory 24in 6.5 creedmoor Large frame AR. I was firing 140Grn Amax with 41.5grns of H4350. It took 9 millrads up hold to hit a 1000 yard up hill target at 16 power. I gues the steel plate must have been a few feet wide.

I can still remember my first hit at 1k. 40k later, I can still remember my first mile hit, and 2000.

I have had access to a 1000y range once. Was shooting a 24" .308 R700 using FGMM 175gr. Wind was so crazy out past 800y it was hard to dial corrections and I couldn't ever get consecutive hits. Was still a lot of fun.
