My sons and I enjoy PRS style shooting, I'm looking for shot timer recommendations to use in this type of practice. I shoot suppressed and was ready to buy a Competition Electronics Pro 2, but then saw a YouTube review that said they were unable to get it to register suppressed shots. So, I'm looking for recommendations on a shot timer that works well with suppressors. Thanks!

When I got into pistol competition many years ago, I bought a PACT timer. It is simple to use and has the info I'm looking for without being complicated. It has the ability to adjust for sensitivity but I don't know how well it would work with your situation.

I’ve had a PACT MkIV combination timer / chronograph for 25-30 years. It’s been rock solid. It is big, but easy to use.

If I was going to buy another timer...I’m seriously looking at one of these:

They are brand new, but we’re designed and built to address many of the shortcomings of other currently available shot timers.

ETA: reports that adjustable microphone works with dry practice, so it should be fine with suppressors.

I use the pocket pro 2. As others have mentioned most of the work has to do with par times. Set it for 90 seconds and run the stage. If you get the last shot off before the buzzer then you are good to go. I don’t know about it reading suppressed shots or not but you are able to adjust the sensitivity and a lot of that will matter with where/how close the unit is to the shots.
