Okay, most of us, if not all of us, use Geisseles and other high end AR triggers. Years and years ago though, Jard was one of the few 2 stage trigger makers. I bought one for an FAL and I had nothing but problems with it. Hanging it up when charged, not firing right, adj. all fucked up... I tried my best to rectify talking to Jard and doing the work myself. Gave up. Wasn't until a decade later I decided I needed to unfuck it (AAC FINALLY gave me a mount that doesn't wobble out of round after four years so it can be shot suppressed).

You may ask why I did this to an FAL. Well, I used to be an SDM instructor at Ft. Lewis, the original SDM school, and we had an idea at the time that many older 7.62 rifles could be modified and upgraded into DMR's. Well, FAL fell short, good for 1.5-2MOA but always with 4MOA fliers. I got a good trigger, or so I thought, and installed it. Nothing but problems. Despite being the best FAL made: DSA58 fully upgraded, scoped and railed folder, Cerakoted brown, and most importantly with an Austrian Steyr 18" barrel in like new condition. Arguably the best FAL barrel ever made, period, including the new SS barrels sold by DSA.

Contacted Jard, willing to pay for anything given the time, but they took the whole rifle, trigger and all, and installed a newer version, obviously cut different from and treated different than the old ones. Highly impressed. I designed and installed a trigger stop on mine so it has no over travel and despite being a 2 stage, it works a lot like a very safe 3lb. 3gun trigger does, but it can be fully adj. so a distinct 2 stage pull can be set.. They use new springs, all new design as the old one used factory FAL trigger parts like the hammer spring. This one does not, more like an AR trigger. This FAL can fire fast as shit as well as take aimed shots. Also has different weight color coded springs for more control.

Jard also has triggers for other rifles many trigger companies don't offer. Worth taking a look, they've really stepped up their game and I can't say anything but good about their CS. Simply awesome. How many people take back ten year old triggers that have been filed and tampered with and go ahead and take the whole rifle back and cut a whole new unit free of charge, test it and send it back far better than it was sent?

If I ever need a trigger that isn't a Geissele or other high end common trigger, you can bet your ass it'll be a Jard vs. trigger jobs and such. They've really stepped up their game.

My only experience with Jard was with a 4.5# AR trigger. I had F T Fire issues with GI ammo. I contacted Jard, they sent me a different (heavier) hammer spring and it fixed the problem. I would buy from them again.
