Show your Sniper Sheds

At first, I thought it would be a deer blind. But we must be talking about where we do most of our work on guns off the range or field.

I don't have a shed for that. The way my house is built, the family room is at one end, flowing into the dining room and then into the kitchen. The living room and garage are parallel to this. The bedrooms and bathrooms are adjacent.

So, many is the time I set my rifle jig on the desk in front of my computer so that I can clean the rifle while watching/listening to a video on YT.

I have an entire room in my house dedicated to a gun room

You must be in a decent climate. A shed would suck around here (UP of Michigan) for 1/2 the year. Which is when I do most of my gun “work”
1/2 the year? Must be nice. Down here in Houston, we get 2 weeks around late October and another 2 weeks in March of livable outdoor weather…

My "shed" is 1000 SQ foot, and also houses a jeep, 2 snowmobiles, 3 dirt bikes, a 4 Wheeler, a bunch of fab tools and mechanics tools.....

Oh, how silly of me. I'm a man, so I have a shop. I didn't have to build a shed in my wife's backyard. :ROFLMAO:

You're making me feel better about the people who call me a poor for my choices.

Its not much 4m^2 but it gets job done

Two pics only? No visible firearms or storage. No ammo, no reloading supplies, a few gun pics you printed off the internet on the walls. It is really a gun room or a wanking vault? Wood plank walls work to stop most kicking attacks, no firing ports or seriously resistant walls. 2 out of 10 for cool gun room rating.

If you are really in Norway, I'd have thought you would get nicer planks with fewer knots. Last time I was there we used local wood for some projects and it was all clear. Important NOTE. If you really are planning on reloading and the floor is carpet of any time, GET RID OF THE CARPET!!! Carpet will generate static electricity and if you are unlucky it will spark and explode the primers. I have met two people who had this happen and got seriously injured. One guy was loading Dillion primer tubes while watching TV and a handful of them exploded, taking his fingers with them. The other guy had to have primers removed from his chest and face after the tube on his press exploded.

Be extremely careful with unboxed primers and carpet.

But, if it is a typical glowie/democrat plant trying to entice people to talk to you, it is a pretty good try.

True, now that you mention it, we should reply with "hello, fellow gun enthusiast."

Edited to add: origin shows Norway. Also, I have never called it or head anyone else call a room for gun works a "sniper shed." Work shop, loading room, spare corner of the garage, shop.

So, I do wonder from this orange account what he means by sniper. In the military and LEO, sniper is a specific job and pay scale and in the military, MOS.

Or is it a glowie who wants to help us define anyone who uses a rifle of any type as a self-styled "sniper" that the government can now "protect" everyone from?

Last time I checked, not having served but studying the exploits of others, being a sniper was most about being a sneaky bastard. Get into places and collecting data and intel to relay back, eventually, to the respective intelligence offices.

Sometimes, an assigned targeted enemy. Or installation, such as ammo depot. Other times as overwatch for other friendlies.

None of which we do or train for or even think about here. Here, it's about the venison. Or it's about ringing steel at 1,000 yards.

So, then, what is a sniper shed, after all?

First of all thanks for kind words
I tried to start a thread to let members share their working space for guns/ loads.
But it seems to not beeing interesting for everyone. We dont all live in large houses.

I live in Europe where gun rules are 100% different from where you live obviously .

Also not everyone here has large house and glorious work shops, i hoped to see some cool places that you guys work in on your guns but you know what f it! You sure shit make a guy feel welcome.

I live in a small flat and my shes is all i have to dispatch to spend my time on hobbies.

Ps we have to have guns inside house and ammo has to be locked away during storage

Have nice day

I was going to post a similar thread, but in The Armory. My new house has ample space for an Armory, and it'd be nice to have a dedicated space for my airsoft guns (real guns are dangerous! ). Mainly I was hoping to get some inspiration on setups and layouts, what kind of workbench setups people like, options for gun racks & cages, etc. I think it was in the Metalworking thread, someone posted a picture of a gun cage they built that has vertical pull-out shelves(?) that hold their rifles. I thought something like that would be cool.

But basically I've got a blank canvas and wanted to find some ideas what to do with it.

OP is finding out why Bear Pit might not have been the place for this thread, assuming he doesn't actually glow.

But if anyone does want to contribute real information, there are those of us that will find it useful.

Don't get so poopy, we understand most Europeans suck Biden cock and love their Muslim immigrants, so a little teasing or questioning will no doubt make them squirt tears. But, the carpet, static electricity thing is serious.

Yeah, we know you poor fuckers have no right to self defense and God forbid your gun was out of the safe without local law enforcement permission. That's kind of sad too.

America is the land of fat people and big assed houses with awesome gun rooms. I myself live on acreage and own a truck big enough to tow a small house, my personal range is nearly a kilometer long and on a 120 acres I bought a decade ago.

Don't be sad, we are electing socialist assholes and communist butt fuckers as fast as possible, in a few years we will all be living in IKEA boxes, just like Norway. Yeah, I know it's swedish, hahahaha.

By the way, it's only an official gun room if your wife sexes with you in it.

Sorry but what does that even mean?
Before you go any further read this thread in it's entirety.

Was this the subforum you wanted to post this in?

Others are right. This forum is for people with a tough hide. Especially in the Bear Pit. As I pointed out, this is where your very last feelings go to die.

Armory might have been a better place.

Usually, Mods don't close down a thread just upon request. There it will remain for all time, the albatross around your neck.

Trust me, I have said and done some goofy things and others did not hesitate for one nano-second to do a Michael Flatley irish step dance all over my perceived feelings. They did not realize that I have no feelings.

Anyway, so, if the place gets to be too much for you, the best option, per Frank, AKA Lowlight, the host and benefactor of this place for old miscreants, is to log out and never return. I would also suggest that you turn off email notifications before doing that.

Or stay, have a blast, read more, post less. But don't hesitate to rib someone for fun. We do that here every day, twice on Sundays for practice.

Like me cracking wise on Bender having his gun room in the spacious basement and I asked if it was his mom's basement. That is supposed to be slight insult, meaning, he is not "man" enough to leave his mom's house.

Notice how he laughed back and came up with a suitable retort. We all appreciate well-timed piquant bon mot.

Stray here, have fun, laugh, learn some things.

I not easily ofended and as english is not my min lnguage i try to understnd everything first of all. Seccond i think most of you misunderstood the meaning of this thread 🍻
Most of us are sharp enough to see things from multiple sides. Lots of us choose to express the side that will give the most entertainment. Some intentionally choose to play dumb to have fun.

Where do you put the reindeer?

IMG_20240210_174301444_HDR.jpg

According to Google, 1 reindeer power is about .63 horse power. So I have approximately 219 reindeer under the hood.

They're cheap too. Just feed them a couple pistons every few thousand miles and plenty of oil and gas. Way cheaper than buying hay and shoveling shit.

But 1 horse = 14.5 horse power.

Sheds are stupid especially if not climate controlled. Temperature swings with high humidity? My Remington 700 rusted over night at Hide Cup in 14 in the back of my Tahoe.
