Side Charging option for .308 AR.....Thoughts???

Hey guys

I got in on the Iron Ridge buy for .308 lowers, I got 2 in the DPMS lower config and I was thinking about using the Fulton Armory upper with the side charging option...my question is...Has anyone here used the FA upper with the side charging option? Likes? Dislikes? Any other opinions about it?

I'm hoping IRA comes out with a left handed charging handle for their upper.

Havent used the FA but JP makes one I have shoot some and seams like a good setup. I know a lot of three gun guys swear by the JP stuff I think its the LRP upper that is side charging.

Here is my side charging set-up. It is not a 308 AR, but still a good set-up. I also have one on my AR that I shoot Hi-Power with.

Upside is you can charge it from prone without breaking position. Downside is no dust cover if it's more than a match gun.
