Sig…..

Yoda How Embarassing.gif

have heard from NG members that the sig issue guns are not 100% reliable. also, rumor around in past that they beat glock out on that by corruption and promising a lot of spare parts when they had none. don't know if that is true. haven't heard anything bad lately about 365s once the initial problems were corrected. ???

Corruption in contracts?

Noooooooooo!

Sounds like standard forum shit "TiER OnE OpeRatOrS use our stuff!"

Welp since everyone and their dog is a former navy seal (except me) I'm gonna have to say I'm not impressed.

No fan of Glock, but glocks didnt do this shit.
Walther doesn't do this shit
S&W doesn't do this shit.
CZs don't do this shit.
Talks like a duck, quacks like a duck, defective like a duck? Must be a sig.
***laughs in Rock Island***
That's right my shitty knock off para-ord doesn't even do this shit. And it was cheap!

Fuck and while we're on it: Everything is going down in caliber. Suddenly the US is going up. I want in on this contracting shit. I'm tired of working for my money.

After the first couple instances of P320’s failing I said nope, not ever. And yeah it makes me question everything they put out. And I’ve been lusting after an X5 P226 ever since I should have bought a German version back in 2006-2008. It was too expensive at the time. Fucking tard…

But at this point I’m probably just done with Sig. I’ll stick with HK for now even though they hate me and there is a retardation campaign of getting rid of the trigger guard mag releases for gay ass buttons.

Personally I think the replacement should have been the M9A3 or a Glock... the M9A3 would have shared a lot of parts and been familiar. (the A4 didn't exist at the time) off topic though. After hearing about all this crap, it will be a LONG time if ever I buy a sig anything. (unless it's an old one)

Sig Mastershop German made (not the US model) for the win. Technically a 226 but completely different frame, slide, and bull barrel. Excellent pistols. Came in DA/SA, SAO, and fully adjustable trigger SAO models.
These were all factory built at the Sig Mastershop in Germany which closed up shop in December 2020 so no longer in production.

I think you're missing the point of this thread.

I think you're missing the point of this thread.
I went back and reviewed this thread from the beginning along with my post and looks like I made a mistake.

In discussing the Sig X5’s I mentioned the DA/SA model however I didn’t post a pic as a reference so my apologies on the oversight.

Here you go the Sig X5 Allround DA/SA model.

Does look that way.

I was noticing that as well.

Personally I think the replacement should have been the M9A3 or a Glock... the M9A3 would have shared a lot of parts and been familiar.

Beretta likes to farm a contract for max bux and do NOTHING but wait for orders to show up in their inbox. They thought they had a perfect match with a lazy item-manager in PEO Soldier PdM-IW who would never bother them- or even notice when they started shipping the plastic guide rods and other plastic parts without approval, right in the middle of the war. They even shipped a huge number of locking blocks that were too large.

If they were more proactive about pitching engineering change proposals (the right way) and submitting unsolicited proposals with good prices for... say new dovetailed slides, threaded barrels as AAL, or even retrofit rails, they could have kept that contract forever.

Glock was too arrogant regarding their position. They said they could meet MHS requirements with one design, and they knew that the design would obviously win.

SIG also knew that they would obviously win- if they could rig the bid and get the Contracting Officer to shut down the testing before too much data was accumulated favoring Glock.

As for SIG shipping SP2022 pistolas to DoS so my parceros could slay Commies? Boo Hoo.

I'll bet that really chaps some Commie ass in here...

Sigs hammered fired guns are now and always have been, awesome. Their glock clones.....not so much
I was at a steel challenge match this past weekend, squadded with a guy shooting an Sig 220. He was having a failure to feed on every mag. It was really hard to watch.

It's really hard to tune mags...😂

I've seen this a ton with all different guns. Guys drop mags over and over on the clock and never even look at them. Doesn't take a lot to tweak the lips.

I found 2 of those X6s on Gunbroker, one Classic and one Skeleton. The classic is at $3200 with 21 bids and 5 days remaining. The Skeleton is opening at $7199.

Reckon I'll just keep looking at the pictures.
When the second generation X6 skeletons were first imported into the US back around 2013-2015 they sold for $3000-$3400. Gen.1 X6’s are cheaper but shoot the same. I think all of the German Mastershop guns will continue to go up over time.

You know how it is with gun, watch, and car collectors just tell them they are no longer in production and watch the prices go up and up.

I have 2 sigs presently. A W. German 226 and a 226 Elite Scorpion. Love them.

I'm gonna get a 365 axg legion next month just to piss off the sig haters here and stir the pot. Who knows, maybe I will get @Dirty D to post some of his dubba wide gals (bare titties only, please) as a result of the sig hate blowback.

If you love SIG so much, you should appendix carry a P320. It's made from the finest Indian scrap metal. How could they possibly be defective when they're all individually blessed by Vishnu ?

Shooting your balls off to own the libs ... the absolute state of the 2025 cuckservative ...

this will buy me a flame. in my world sigs are big $ guns and i never heard of Taurus leg either. depends on how you plan to use a tool. my little echo branch saw does me fine, i don't need a 36" stihl commercial model. i shoot the carry gun often enough to feel confident i will go bang if i need it to. not shooting 5K rounds of Tula steel in a month to make a point.
family member in army NG says their sigs have had reliability issues.

I like my X5 Legion, although the reach to the trigger face is a just a smidgen long. I'm thinking of trying an ArmoryCraft slightly curved bow trigger if I don't get more comfortable with it.

I also don't care for the bit of slop / take-up, but it's not really that much, and probably isn't bad for a striker gun. The trigger isn't as nice as the one in my Hi-Power, for example (and I don't expect it to be).

Just this weekend I had my first malfunction when the gun didn't go fully into battery and the trigger didn't reset. Worked the slide, ejected the round and kept shooting. That's about 6k rounds in.

I dunno, I don't carry it and I don't make a habit of dropping my tools, so I'm not real worried about it. Truth told it's only the exploding slides that worry me a bit.

Get this NOW
It will significantly reduce the risk of OOB k-boom.
Consider saving up for an aftermarket barrel with a fully supported chamber later.

my brother and my shooting partner love their sig 365’s , I had an M17- wanted to be familiar with the pistol the Marines are now carrying - hated it - especially the trigger I didn’t keep it long . And since we base or opinions on what we know see- my uncle and nephew both have had problems with their 320s/M17s . A slide framed in a few hundred rounds on one and an out of battery detonation on the other . No thanks

I'm looking at that disconnector as well as a KKM barrel. The KKM and Barsto barrels are apparently large upgrades from factory, even aside from the fully supported chamber.

My other thought is to replace the gun with a HK USP v1 / USP Expert v1 and not worry about tinkering with it.

But, I do like the 320, and particularly the X5L, it's now become undeniable that Sig phoned in the Engineering portion a bit early.
