sig 556 trigger

Don't know about swapping triggers , but what type trigger does your 556 have? The DMR model I just bought has what sig calls "an enhanced single stage target trigger"... whatever that means. It's a great trigger though. As I don't have any experience with 2-stage triggers, I thought that's what it was.
It has a long "take up", maybe a couple of pounds. Then there is a distinct "stop" and a short second squeeze that doesn't feel much heavier than the first. How is this different than a traditional 2-stage?

Yep, same as mine. I just like a finely toned 2-stage trigger.

Yep, same as mine. I just like a finely toned 2-stage trigger.

someone out there made an AR15 friendly SIG556 lower that accepts all the AR parts...cant recall offhand maybe someone can chime in with that info

An AR15 trigger will not bolt in, but there is a guy making aftermarket trigger components for the 556 now:

If you haven't already, play with the adjustment on the stock trigger a bit first. I was able to adjust the stop so that I was very happy with it without replacing any parts.
