I just snagged an 8” MPX and I plan to SBR it. I kind of want to throw an AR stock adapter on it and run a sopmod. Anyone here have one on a mpx. Curious how it looks and feels compared to the regular sig stocks. I don’t care for the cheek weld you get with those factory ones

I have run an AR stock on a MCX and it was a good cheek weld and put my eye at a good height. But haven’t run one on the MPX. I just run my factory stock on it.

Have you tried the fiding/telescoping sig stock? It's much better to shoot with than all the other wire stocks.

This probably won't answer your question but I have the MPX pistol with the 4.5" barrel. It also has a suppressor. I put a Midwest hand-guard on it as well as a Timney trigger, Ergo grip, etc.. In addition, I removed the OEM telescoping brace and installed the SB folding brace.

Anyway, I quickly gave up the thought of converting to an SBR. Why should I SBR the pistol when it does everything I want without the tax stamp and paperwork.

I'm running this stock adapter and an MFT Minimalist stock. For an optic/sights I'm running a See-All on a 1/2" pic riser. IMO, the optic/sight that you run will determine the cheek weld (and therefore stock) that you'll want in order to be comfortable.

Does that stock adapter fold?

That’s nice! I think I’m gonna run a LMT Sopmod. I have that in my 14.5” knights with a LCO and it’s a great view and good cheek weld for me

Which Ergo grip are you running on this and did you modify it to get it that vertical?

It is the most vertical grip that they make.

I did not make any modifications. I only needed a long Allen wrench to go through the hole that’s already in the back of the grip to tighten the bolt.

I liked that grip so much that all my other ARs wear it.

Yeah I watched his video a time or two ?. I wanted a MP5 but found a mpx first. And the triggers are better on the mpx

Um, no. The factory trigger on the MPX is horrible. For anyone buying an MPX, the first thing that should be done is to replace the trigger with a Geissele MPX trigger. Best upgrade you can do on it.

I agree that the stock trigger sucks. I didn't know Geissle made a trigger. At the time, I got a Timney trigger and also installed the KNS anti-walk pins.

I like the flat trigger: https://timneytriggers.com/sig-mpx-trigger/

It looks like KNS has some customizable options on their pins: https://www.knsprecisioninc.com/product-category/ar15parts/non-rotating-trigger-hammer-pin-sets/

Sig's PCC carbine comes with a Timney trigger as a standard feature:

Yeah, Geissele took a while to come to market with an MPX trigger. They spent a ton of time developing it and addressed the shortcomings of other aftermarket triggers. The trigger comes with 3 different weighted recoil springs to control the recoil impulse better and an internal pin locking system to keep the pins from walking. Also comes in 3 different types of trigger faces, M4, Geissele curve, and flat. I got mine early this year and I’m anxious to try it out at the range. But just from dry firing, waaaaaaaaaaay better than the factory trigger.
