Posted earlier the P220 S (sport) and, thought I would go ahead and show the 229 S chambered in 357 Sig. I unfortunately, do not have the P226 S yet...at any rate here's the P229 S I prolly shoot her better than any other.

I've got a regular 229 in 357 SIG and the round/gun is very accurate. I've never shot just for group size but it shoots very consistently where I point it.
How is the muzzle device attached?

Thx guys. She's a real witch.
The compensator just screws on. The barrel is threaded.
Theres also a little nut inside that seats it. Very easy to take on and off.
The compensator on the 220 sport is much bigger and she just slides off the
rail after you take out the 3 screws. I would say its a little quicker to disassemble
than the 229 sport. But, yeah, the 229S/357sig is a real shooting combo imo.

I have the 226 in 357 Sig, and it points great plus is very accurate. It is at Gray Guns right now, having it worked over. The Bar-Sto barrel just arrived, I am hoping for 3"@25 yard accuracy...

I also have a X-Five Allround on the way, in 9mm. It will be interesting to compare the two...accurized P226 vs stock X-Five.

Nice pistol - sounds like it's like it's GTG for a suppressor. Have you tried it without the comp? Wondering the difference in felt recoil?

thrusty, Ive haven't had her very long, but, I, do intend on doing just that. I too was wandering what the difference would be. c1steve, you've got some really nice pistols. GGI is awesome.

Paul01,

I plan to send the X-Five Allround to GGI when the P226 comes back, I will post some news about the improvements that GGI is able to implement.
I notice that my new X-Five has an "S" on it as well, not sure what the Sport designation exactly means.

Tough to beat the X-5's and X-6's for accuracy, smoothness and general all around quality. The standard SIG pistol is a fine sidearm, the Custom shop SIG's are simply just a bit better.

My X-5 Comp in 9mm has quickly become one of my favorite pistols.

The All Around was originally a forty that I sent to Robert Burke, "The SIG Armorer" for an action enhancement package, FO front sight as well as to fit both a 9mm and .357 sig ,Bar-Sto barrels. Very happy with the outcome. He did great work. .357 sig out of a full 5" barrel adds a bit more velocity. These heavy X guns are a joy to shoot, heavy enough to soak up recoil, and amazingly accurate.
