MY , new ( to me ) Sierrra3BDX 4.5-14 X 44 has in the field of view , and seemingly on the objective lens a pattern of tiny almost invisible black dots . THey are are all over the Lens . My eyes can see them when looking into less light areas . They look like "dust " particles , but dont come off wipe the lense cloth.
My thoughts are that maybe they are actually integral with the scopes electronic systems ( but I can,t see how ?) the dots dont rotate when you use the ocular lens adjustment . The dots are not part of then reticle features , because they are all over the view .
Does anybody know what this is ?
cheers

I would bet on debris inside the scope on one the optics. A bit of oil can attract and hold it on the lens. There are a couple of threads on it floating around.
