OK, I'll pose this question to everyone...I believe, normally, that when sighting in a .22 LR, that is done at 50 yards. If that is true, then at what yardage should a .17 HMR be sighted in at?

Thank you for your imput!

Re: Sighting in a rimfire....

I have mine sighted for 50 sense i shoot rba at that range. If i was hunting i would most likely zero at 100. But it all depends what your doing with it. For hunting squirrel 50 probably coyote i would do 100 and groundhogs 100. For anykind of benchrest i would stay at 50. Moral of story : sight it in at 50

Re: Sighting in a rimfire....

I have my 22's zeroed at 100 yards. I have my 17 zeroed at 175 yards. The last coyote I killed was at 80 yards and I shoot prairie dogs out past 200. I need the distance.
