Ran across one of these at a local shop today. Marked way down and may be able to get it for even less with some bartering. Ran a search, but found little - a couple of anciallry hits at best. Anybody have one of these? From Google search, it looks like CheaperThanDirt was blowing them out a year plus ago - the one I found locally is priced below their blowout. It has been dicontinued, but is still available at couple of places (one being Midway) for a substantial price.
From handling it in the shop:
1) It has a very short mounting window. I doubt this would work with anything that had fixed rings (no pic rail).
2) I have been toying with building a AR mid length or M4gery and this would be a good optic (In keeping with #1). Or I good trade/sell for something else I need.
3) This thing appears real clear and bright - consistent with what I have heard on other Sigtron SIII and SII Big Sky scopes.
4) It has a non-illuminated German 4 style reticle. Probably not my first choice in this type of scope, but would be workable.
Anybody know anything about these?
Thanks,
Casey
