Rifle Scopes Sightron SIII 8-32x56 MOA-2 in stock?

Re: Sightron SIII 8-32x56 MOA-2 in stock?

I wondering if there is anyone out there that has actually gotten their hands on one of these new 6x24-50 LRMOA with the new Turrets? This was my first choice but I got tired of waiting and went with the Vortex PST 6x24-50 FFP MIL/MIL. I would like to know how the new turrets feel on the new models? I've owned the older model Sightron S3 and the glass was GREAT!

Yes I have two of them. The 6-24x50 LRMOA. I am planning on shooting them this weekend. The glass is great. I mounted them on two Remington 223 5R rifles. The turrets fill good as well. I was considering the PST but I wanted a scope for F class and varmint hunting, so the FFP was not important.

I am looking at selling my PST and going with my original plan. The glass on my other Sightron that got sold with the rifle that it was on was GREAT and the eye relief at higher magnifications was also good. My only concern was how tight and crisp the new turrets feel. Please give a range report of the scope when you get a chance to.

Hello all. Mr Rodeo Trash asked me to compare the new turrets on my SIII 6-24x50 with the MOA turrets. Below are some of his Qs. I also add some pics.

How do the turrets feel on the new 6x24-50 LRMOA? Are they stiff, tight and crisp? Is there any chance of them moving accidently? Are they easy to see?

1. 6.5-20 FFP M5 Mark 4 (very stiff)
2. 3-18 IOR (very stiff)
3. 6-24x50 SIII (very crisp)
4. 3-10 mil (midway) Weaver (stiff by not very crisp)
5. SS10xHD
6. SS10x
7. 3200 10x

Note: 3,4,5,6 all very close, however I would give the edge to SIII.

This is just MO. Not science guys.

Thanks JAAM12, this is exactly what I wanted to see. Doesn't sound like there will be any accidental movement of the turrets. I'm sure the glass and repeatability of these scope are on par with Sightron products.

Re: Sightron SIII 8-32x56 MOA-2 in stock?

I was wondering how thin this reticle is? I hunt at dawn and dusk a lot and was considering this moa reticle in the 6-24 version, but I am a bit concerned about not being able to pick it up in low light. Thanks for the help!

Sure. What would you like. Also the scope is a SFP and the reticle seems fine and the glass is great. I will be using them for target and hunting.
