Not sure if this is the section best suited for this but screw it.
So I was screwing around on youtube and came across a video of a guy from SIG explaining some details about the company's 6.8 cal rifle/MG submission to the US Armed Forces and what it offers. One thing they have done with the ammo, the case specifically, is it looks like they added a steal case head, it looks almost like a power belt like a 300 wm would have. He goes on to explain the the case can handle more pressure than a normal solid brass case. If that is true I wonder if it could be adapted to other existing cartridges to get more performance out of them and push the envelope even more.?
