has anyone ever heard of, or had a problem with, the sinclair generation II expander bending necks slightly causing a case to wobble on a neckturning mandrel? the case necks were straight(concentric) before being expanded.

Re: sinclair generation II expander

Are you lubing and brushing the insides of the necks first? That helps a lot. How about annealing? If you have annealed first, that will soften the necks and allow them to bend a little off center. In that case it might serve better to use a polished and floating pull through expander. JMHO

Re: sinclair generation II expander

I have had zero issues whatsoever, and I don't lube in most cases-only when necking cases up. Otherwise, I bushing-size casenecks a little undersize, and expand to correct size. I do this every loading, on a Dillon 650, and achieve worst case runout of .0015". Most are under .0010, and many are under .0010".
