Single vs 2 stage for specific setup

Just about done with my AR-15 build and just getting started on my AR-10 build and can't seem to make a decision on the triggers. I want the same trigger for both guns for the sake of continuity. Narrowed it down to either an Elftmann Match or the Geissele SSA-E. The AR build consists of 3 dedicated uppers, a 4.5" 22lr for cheap plinking and practice, a 6.25" 300blk for more expensive plinking and subsonic hog hunting and a 12.5" 6.5 Grendel for deer/hog hunting. The AR-10 Will be a 22" 6.5 Creedmoor for longer range target shooting. Possibly some hunting if I were to go out west where shots might be long enough to warrant lugging around the extra weight.

I've never used a 2 stage trigger, but the idea of it appeals to me for precision applications. Just can't seem to make up my mind. Given these specific rifles and usage would you go single or two stage?

I run Geissele SD3G single stage in my carbines, SBR's and AR pistols. I run Geissele SD-E 2 stage triggers in all my precision AR's

Maybe it's on OCD thing, but I'd really like to have the same triggers on both guns. They also have the same charging handles and safety levers. I'm leaning towards the 2 stage since they seem to be more precision oriented and i kinda want to try them.

I have both triggers. The SSA-E is an awesome two-stage trigger and won't hold you back at all in faster plinking-style shooting. The Elftmann is really nice as well, but the second stage on the SSA-E is quite a bit lighter (1.5 lbs) than the Elftmann can go (2.75 lbs).

For everything except 3-Gun shooting, I prefer the SSA-E.

Thanks for the hands on insight. I have no intention of doing any 3 gun shooting and not worried about ultra fast split times so it's looking like the SSA-E is probably the way to go.

It's really just personal preference. Like most people, I like a light trigger for precise shooting and the best way to get that in an AR is with a 2-stage trigger. But a single-stage trigger under 3 pounds is pretty damn light too and less than some people recommend on a hunting rifle.

Second stage on a SSA-E is a little on the light side for my preference on a hunting rifle or gen use carbine. Might see if you can find someone local to you to try before buying.

I run Gieselle 2 stage triggers in my precision-oriented AR's, and then single stage in all my other AR's. (Hiperfire and CMC)

Like many here, I shoot a SSA-E on my GAP-10, and I shoot SD-E on my other SPR, and I shoot an AR Gold for 3gun. The Geiselle triggers are fantastic. Just decide straight (SD) or curved (SSA) and then decide final stage weight (enhanced or not) and you're set.

Sounds easy huh ?? Until you're trying to actually decide. LOL.

For precision work, I prefer the lighter weight of the enhanced.

I have been using Geissle National Match 2 stage on my precision oriented builds and I absolutely love them. The install at 2#-2.25# on the second stage break but with some great tutorials by the manufacturer, you can even get it lighter. I am a light trigger shooter but 2# is about right on these as it an extremely clean 2#.
