looking at heading down for an escape from the cold next week. with the weather in texas, it occurred to me that i should ask what the situation is in alabama before i head out.

It was cold as shit here today, but there is supposed to be a warming trend coming.
Next week its supposed to warm right up.
My ass is going fishing as soon as it warms up.

Southwest FL was warm all through the cold snap that crippled the rest of the country.
If he comes to my part of Bama he will only be 20 miles from Florida. But not the warmest part.

I say that it’s been warm here all week then I step outside and it’s in the low 70’s and breezy. Still beautiful but definitely cooler

Headed to gulf shores. While I'd love to fish, I want to keep things simple and relaxing. The more stuff you try to squeeze in, the more complicated it gets.
Went shooting Saturday with a coupla Hide buddies and the wifey.
I had on jeans, socks, a T-shirt and a flannel.
The winds were like 8-15 and the temp was 48-ish
Rebecca was cold so Dan loaned her a jacket.

I'm 15 minutes from Gulf Shores, sitting on the porch in a T-shirt drinking coffee with the dogs. Rained this morning but should be nice the rest of the week. Close to 70 every day.
just got back. it was gorgeous the entire time i was there, and i didnt meet ONE person that was in a bad mood! talked to a bunch of folks, and everyone was incredibly nice. i’ll be doing it again.
