    For those following what is going on in Ukraine/Donbas Larry Johnson talks about this Substack in his latest blog. It seems quite good.

    "Note, the specific confirmation of something we predicted here in one of the recent reports, which is that the offensive is likely to kick off, not all at once but in several stages in order to maximize confusion, allow a little lead time for AFU to frantically send reserves to one direction to caulk the flow, only for a completely different direction to massively kick off into un-reinforced territory."

    Russia is in a proxy war with us. And they know it and we are too stupid at the government level to know that Germany finding out we blew up the pipeline to supply them with NG may push them to the Russians side.

    And we are also too stupid to know the Russians hold All the cards in Europe right now. India is buying their oil, they are bleeding us of our weapons stockpile all while driving our debt and inflation through the roof. It's like what we did to them in the 80s except our youth all want to be gay and cut off their genitals when their youth really only wanted Levi's jeans and rock music

    If someone voted for a mainstream Dem or GOP candidate in the past quarter-century, they were voting for a neocon. Doesn't take much to work out the math from that point.

    One, I've never voted for a Dem but did support Ron Paul in '08 and '12 in the primaries before voting 3rd-party. That's a track record that feels better with every passing day.

    Two, it seems that I do have to be a dick about it because damn near every conservative has conveniently forgotten that idiots like Sullivan, Blinken, and Nuland failed upwards into their current positions because idiots like Rumsfeld, Feith, and Bremer were previously allowed to "succeed" (and I use that term in the way that can only be applied to US foreign policy). The Ukraine support playbook reads like a right-wing think tank fever dream. Take a peek at what Boomercons like Victor Davis Hanson have written about the conflict.

    I keep hammering on this stuff not because I want Republicans to feel guilty for their voting records 2000-2012 (well... maybe a little), but rather because four years of Trump did little to wash the party of this neocon nonsense and I'm deeply concerned that it's going to rise up again in 2024, or even sooner if China or Iran provokes.

    Job is to keep the sheep watching the news 24x7 because the more eyeballs, the more they can charge for advertising on their news shows.

    For accuracy, one must realize that "neo-cons" came mostly from the democrat party and it was democrats that started it originally. 😳 For every Cheney, there's a Hillary. They're all making money off the deal.

    Neocons started as straight-up Red Trotskyists here in America who supported the goals of the Comintern and world revolution. So of course they latched onto the DNC, just like other socialist groups did.

    when the DNC gravitated to a hippy peacenik phase in the 60's, these Trotskyists - who still wanted world revolution and felt that the USSR had dropped the ball- flipped over to the Republicans because they felt they could still push for world conquest, and just sell it as expansionist patriotism to all of us conservatives. Neocons are the enemy of everything our founding fathers stood for. There is nothing conservative about Neocons.

    and as far as events on the front lines, the fact is now that all these reinforced units are back in their jump off positions, the Russians have quietly kept an operational pause with only minor local engagements designed to keep the AFU tied down. what are they waiting for?

    Easiest way to survive a nuke? Be somewhere else, far away. Notice all the cities they listed are coastal except Chicago? Wonder why? Oklahoma feels safer every day.

    Exactly. But I didn't want to get that far into the weeds. But you cannot also dismiss the mic and the people that profit from it. Also, attaching the term "conservative" allows the ignorant audience to conflate real conservativism with the warmongers and those who would profit from it, whether that profit be ideologically or monetarily.
