Looking to put a slide fire stock on my S&W M&P 15/22. Anyone out there try it yet. It's the closest I will every get to full rock and roll. Also any good after market kits available 350.00 is a lot for that stock.

Re: Slide fire stock

I'd be interested to hear if that winds up working for you or not considering the lack of recoil on the .22
An interesting experiment to say the least.

Re: Slide fire stock

"bump" fire, which is the same concept as the slide fire stock does not work on a 10/22. I doubt there would be enough recoil for it to work on the s&w 22 either.

Re: Slide fire stock

I friend of mine has one and it works ok on a 5.56 but I wouldn't think it would work well on a .22 due to lack of recoil. A somewhat interesting range toy but no way I'd pay $350 for one.

You have to put an aftermarket trigger and get to the lightest possible pull to make it work. But it can be done. My buddy shooting his at the range.
