As usual, RF is great. CF not as good. Still, I am happy with my CF score. I missed the small smiley, but made enough other shots to score over 200 (I hope). My first target would have been a humdinger, but I missed the small smiley on the confidence shot.

One thing that I have learned is that mirage is a huge factor for centerfire. Part of the reason that rimfire is easy for me is that I almost never get mirage at 50. I almost always deal with mirage at 100. Today, mirage tamped down for my last 100 yard target and my shooting really tightened up. Part of this, I think is psychological and part of it is mechanics. When I am shooting without mirage, I can see if I am in a stable position because I can easily identify if there is any reticle movement. With mirage, reticle movement is hidden. I also shoot looser when there is mirage because I end up not "aiming small." When I don't aim small, I find that my miss is magnified. My shots fly way outside of my large aim point. If I had shot all 4 targets in low mirage, I might have been able to eek out a winner, or at least a top 3 or 5. Not this time, but this is a decent target that won't pull down my agg.

SMACK THE SMILEY SPRING 2013 RESULTS

Congrats to Carl Ross & Carter Mayfield our SPRING Match Winners!

With the SPRING match, we raised another $313 for AmericanSnipers.org!! That puts the total over $9900 raised from the Smack the Smiley Match! It is only fitting that in our 10th year in existence, we are going to hit 10K worth of donations!

Competition was tough as usual, with many good scores. You gotta nail everything to be near the top. A score of 200 did no get you in the top 9 of CF or the top 14 of RF - WOW!

Results should be up on the website soon, but here they are below for those that can't wait<graemlin_url>
