I haven’t really looked , but nearest thing I’ve seen to what you
are asking about is the Garmin Foretrex 701 with AB loaded on it .
It oprerates independently as a ballistic solver , GPS , altimeter
and a bunch of other stuff . It can be tethered to your phone to
recieve messages , alerts etc .

Unless something has come out very recently, I don’t believe there are any that do.
I looked several weeks ago to see if there was anything for the Fenix 5x and couldn’t find anything.
Obviously not a ballistic app like you are looking for, but there is a shot timer app available that I’ve yet to test. It seemed like it might be neat when I downloaded and installed it....
Sure seems like smart watch support for strelok or the kestrel app would be a no brainer.

How did that Garmin app work? What watch are you using? I'm looking at the fenix5x for hiking and for the ballistic app

I have the Foretrex 701 and like it. It does not work with Kestrel. It has its own built in pressure sensor. For temperature you can add a tempe ($30), for humidity you have to manually input, or leave it at whatever because it has little impact on the solution. Wind is given in wind 1 and win 2, manually input, and all solutions shows both wind1 and wind2 at the same time. I keep mine fixed at 5 and 10, the default. Between the Kestrel 5700 Elite and Garmin, I prefer the garmin by a big margin.
It currently connects to no other device. However, AB has mentioned that they have something in the works that allow all AB devices to share profiles. Also, it was implied that the Sig BDX LRF will work with Garmin at some point but I have not seen any concrete info on that.

What would be interesting is if the ballistic app makers could for example have their android apps work with the Samsung smart watches and you could for example have your Kestrel and a communicating weather vane monitoring via BT while you shoot, and flash updates to the watch screen as wind speed, temperature and wind direction / air density changed, showing you the new adjustments & difference from previous adjustments. So you could just glance at your watch to get updated dial ups / hold offs.
Beyond that, it will be interesting to see how all this tech will interface with the newer "Smart" scopes. Can you say range card, loaded into the scope, with a toggle button selecting tgt # for automatic elevation adjustments in a HUD? It would be pretty cool for PRS style matches, as well for those that perform overwatch duty. Just lay out your range card, enter in the LRF confirmed values for each reference point, and then load the whole shebang into the scope. Toggle to the target needed (with the option to toggle back to a straight zero for ad hoc hold offs) and hold for wind.
I really think we're living in an a age of great change for long range shooting, as technology gets smaller and more portable.

Exactly. Now granted, this tech already exist in packages like Tracking Point. However, getting it into average shooter's hand will be a milestone. I am patiently waiting to find out what Sig BDX and Garmin integration brings. Garmin has a much better processor than Kestrel so if anything is gonna be made possible, it would be with the Garmin.
On the other hand, the technology makes marksman skills less important. Is that a good thing?
There will always be the need for the marksman to understand the technology, in order to use it effectively. So, while making it easier, it doesn't negate the fundamentals that @Lowlight is constantly hammering on. It doesn't matter how good the ballistic solution is, if the shooter still can't square up properly on the rifle or pull the trigger correctly. No amount of s/w will every correct for bad fundamentals. I suspect that is why his focus recently has shifted back to fundamentals. As technology grows, it really does amplify the gaps of the shooter's capabilities.
I agree about the Garmin as well. My older Kestrel 4500 left me wanting, and while I know the G701 isn't quite there yet, it would seem to be the most extensible hardware platform. If AB can ever get a solid API based architecture in place (as well as a lot more rigorous testing before release) than they could own the market. Based on what I have seen lately though (the stumbles in updates and fixes), I am beginning to question that. They really need a system architect that knows their butt from a hole in the ground. All indicators are they are integrating across too many platforms without any thought to having an API based architecture in place to limit/defray the cost of supporting so many differing platforms. I may (and hope) I am wrong, but anecdotal evidence says otherwise...
I've seen this same pattern way too many times within the DoD R&D space. Great tech, but little to no architectural consideration for a (relatively) clean growth path or transition from a single piece of cool tech, to a modular component that can be plugged into whatever is available. It usually spells (at a minimum) an incredibly expensive/low profit business model, or (at worst) complete failure at some point (a tipping point if you will, where they can no longer support all the different platforms, but try to, and then fail across the board).
But I digress...

I have the Garmin Bravo Tactix and there is a Free App for that, but it's not easy to use.
In my mind, it's more of just a backup application in case you have nothing at all.
Scrolling through the menus of a watch is not the same as using the Garmin Fortrex 701. That is a complete AB Solution much like the Kestrel. The only thing it is not doing is the wind, that has to be done manually. It has weather and plenty of good information to access vs a watch with the basics.

The Sig Sauer BDX you can build a custom reticle. The intent is that the new 2400 BDX and 3000 BDX will work with the Garmin 701. So you can basically build a custom reticle with up to 8 dots in it. Those dots can be any yard, meter, moa or mil that you want.
When can we expect the Sig BDX and Garmin 701 integration to come out? I'd be happy to beta test the garmin firmware
Interesting. I wouldn't have expected apple watch to be usable outdoors.
Do you take your watch off each time you go outside? Why(how) would it only work indoors?
So long as your phone is in range the watch will function as normal.
That said I dont use a smart watch myself and I havent heard about the app support for it other than these posts.

The app -- usability of the ballisticarc app itself aside -- does not support apple watch. What is posted on instagram is screenshot of a range card being pushed to apple watch and apple watch showing a picture. It would otherwise have at least been cool.

Kilo 2400 abs user here desperately wanting to see a “PRS mode” added the Kilo. This mode would allow for multiple targets to be saved and the ballistics data streamed to an Apple Watch.
Will applied ballistics be releasing an app for the tactix charlie that provides the same software/features found in the foretrex 701?
I have an app on my phone and my Apple Watch from SBC I haven’t actually went and shot my rifle using it just messed around with it a little and compared it to another ballistic app on my phone everything looked about the same
Kestrel has something sweet coming out, but I would have loved to see Eink like the downrange systems unit so that bright sunlight or angles wouldn't mess with your ability to see the data
They have their "HUD" on display. It's via BT link, so I ain't jumping on the bandwagon for that one (not given their issues with managing their BT interface).
Hence why Garmin uses something different than BT (ANT+).
ANT was designed for sensor data (more accurately, an array of sensors that form a Personal Area Network (PAN)). BTLE is similar, but has grown way beyond that, and hence the issues with compatibility/backwards compatibility. It also (BTLE) doesn't support a tree network that ANT does.
Additionally, ANT was designed for multiple devices to be connected at the same time (PAN network), with them being aware of the other sensors and when they transmit.
With more and more electronics being introduced, and choreographed to work in a certain order (LRF => BalCalc => E-Scope) I'm thinking BTLE may be not as well suited as ANT devices:
