Just sold my LRB M25 with one on it, shot nice & mellow, wasnt too loud either, think Ron has a video of his brakes being used on a full auto M14 on his website still, the main reason I bought it, wound up with a socom barrel so I couldnt use it after all.
Like to try one on a 300wby we have here that has a factory wby break - don't know if the threads are the same though.
Sure others will pipe in.

I had one for a while on my 700, good brake allowed you to stay on target, not to much noise like other brakes.

Ive watched that one a few times just wondering how it would do on a bolt gun, seem like pretty well if it can tame that beast.

I use it on my AR10 and really like it. It doesn't have any sharp corners to catch on anything and seems to work really well without being excessively loud.
And it doesn't look like i'm compensating...

I don't really think you need much of a break on a 308 and this break is just enough without being over kill.

I have one on my 223 and it is very loud. Makes everyone look what you are shooting. It knocks the 223 down to a 22.

I had a "tanker" Garand in 308 with one. I really was impressed with the effectiveness of the brake. Shooting Military ball offhand felt like popping off my 16" AR.

I recently shot a few rounds through my select fire M14A1 clone with the Smith Enterprise, Inc. USCG muzzle brake. I did not have as much time to test as I wanted but it had noticably less recoil than the M14 flash suppressor mated to a M14E2 muzzle stabilizer I normally use.
