As requested...
Here are the stages and match information for the CCC Inaugural Sniper Trophy Match to be held on Oct. 30.
Match limited to 30 shooters. First come first serve, but we do have the waiting list option enabled in the registration program...
Sign-in at classroom starts at 8:00am, shooting starts at 9:00am
Read & Heed the following...
* NO Rifle Caliber smaller that .243/6mm or larger than 300 win mag/wsm allowed
* Pistol cal minimum 9mm, no magnums...
* NO Laser Range Finders ALLOWED...
* Know your cold bore dope.
* We will be shooting to 1000 yards so know your 1K dope. Bring your mat if you want to use it.
* We have one 20 round stage, one 21 round stage, and one 10 round stage, so have the necessary mags in your kit.
* One pistol stage with rifle so bring all necessary equipment to shoot and carry what you need.
* Scoring is total points. All stages have par times.
* Pistol will NOT be required to be carried on any stage that does not use it.
* Shooters will be transported from stage to stage on our 40 ft hay ride trailer.
* Two stages will be shot from trailer, Stage 1 and Stage 7.
Stage 1. From hay ride trailer all shooters (10 at a time) will shoot one cold bore shot at their numbered clay target for 25 points. RO will tell you the exact distance to target. Start standing, weapon unloaded. Par time of 30 sec.
Stage 2. Shooting 4 KYL targets, target value goes up as targets get smaller/farther (20, 30, 40, 50 points), miss and out = zero points on that stage. Shoot from any position. Shoot position and prep time off the clock. Par time = 40 sec
Stage 3. Mini jungle run, pistol on 12 static poppers, all steel must be hit before proceeding. Reach end of run at pad, shoot "No Peak" head targets in shoot house, 5 heads targets for 20 points each. Par time 180 sec.
Stage 4. Hostage Rescue: After negotiating a small obstacle course the shooters will utilize the “Strong Hand Barricade” from which they will engage a hostage target at 200-250 yards. Shooters will fire 4 rounds prone, 2 rounds sitting (butt on ground), 2 rounds kneeling (at least 1 knee) and 2 rounds standing for a total of ten rounds. All shooting with the exception of the 4 rounds fired from the prone position will be using the wall for support. Then change to "Weak Hand Barricade", exactly the same as the “Strong Hand Side” stage but performed weak side from second barricade. Ten rounds. Hits on Good Guy will not deduct, bad guy must change side to count as hit, each hit is 10 points. Par time 180 sec
Stage 5. Fred's Tree... KYS (know your sequence): Shooters will fire their first round at a 165 yard mover (paper target) then move to the close-in reactive target at an unknown range (100-200 yards). Shot number three will be at the far reactive target at an unknown range (300-500 yards) and then shooter will once again engage the 165 yard mover. This cycle will continue until the shooter has fired ten rounds from the surprise position. All ten shots must be taken within the time limit of 100 sec. You will be given ample time to get in position and mil your targets before the time starts. Mover moves both directions so your first shot might be right to left then left to right and repeating for the 4 shots, alternating each shot.
Shots: 1, 4, 7, 10 = 165 yard mover.
Shots: 2, 5, 8 = close target.
Shots: 3, 6, 9 = far target.
Stage 6. I lost my ammo... each shooter will give all their ammo/mags to RO who will hide it along the north fence. At the buzzer the shooter will search out the lost ammo and then find and engage 5 targets through the pipe gate. No limit on number of shots but all targets must be hit only once, 10 points per hit. Par time 90 sec.
Stage 7. Wall of Shame... Shot from trailer (10 shooters at a time), range approx 300 yards, the shooters will have 30 seconds to get into position, load, find their number on the "Wall of Shame" and put one shot in their card. If they get a hit, 20 points, if they hit another shooters card that shooter gets the 20 points. No limit on how many points a shooter can get because of bad shots... line splitter shots, largest half gets points. Start standing unloaded par time 30 sec. Wall will be scored after all shooters have shot it. After shooting Stages 1 - 7, we will transport all shooters to classroom to rest, re-fuel and prepare for final Stage 8.
Stage 8. Three Strikes and you are out... 1K range... Each shooters gets 3 shot attempts on each target starting at the 600 yd target (6" plate), then the 700 yd target (8" plate), then proceed to the 1K target array. Targets widths at 1K are 18", 12", 11", 10" and 8". Targets will score 10, 20, 30,40, 50, 60 & 70 points respectively for each target hit, three (3) attempts per target, hit and move on to next target, miss all three shots and you are out. You get all points up to that point. No points for shooting at one plate and hitting another. Par time 210 sec.
We will have 3 RO's other that myself and a couple of target resetters/scorers. The first 2 stages will require the group to stay together. We then split into 3 groups to shoot Stages 3, 4 & 5. Stages 6 & 7 will be shot after all shooters finish with 3, 4 & 5. Stage 8 will be shot together after everyone has a chance to rest in the club house and get their stuff together for the 1K shoot.
Price will be $50 and we will give our custom trophies to first ,second and third in three divisions, Gas Gun, Bolt Gun .308 or larger and Bolt Gun smaller than .308. Trophy count is based on number of shooters per division, 1 trophy for 1-3 shooters, 2 trophies for 6 and 3 trophies for 9 or more shooters in a division
We also have a sponsor, Aaron Roberts, host of Handgun TV, co-host of Tactical Impact and a great Precision Rifle gunsmith has donated gift certificates for custom rifle work to the winner of each division. Details at the shoot.
We will open the facility to any shooters that stay till Sunday for FREE shooting and if time permits on Saturday as well.
We reserve the right to modify the format of the shoot or awards at anytime, as required...
Good Shooting...
