Been here many times before gather dope to improve my shooting and decided to take the plunge and join the community. I have lived in Austin Texas and Alberta Canada for a couple decades. I now reside full-time in Alberta, close to the mountains, my true passion as a lone wolf. It has been a real shift from the gun freedom of Texas to the Canadian gun environment.

That said I love shooting pretty much anything that fires a projectile. As a lover of long distance shooting I will be focusing on PRS, Rimfire Comps and range shooting. Currently building a MPA Comp rifle with Insite Arms out of Lloydminster. Great guys and they have been very helpful so far. Looking to cross paths with others in the southern Alberta area and will be shooting at the Rocky Rod Range in Rocky Mountain House. Will be shooting in the PRS foothills regionals in Regina and Medicine Hat to start with.

Thanks for allowing me to join the forum. Shoot straight, shoot long, live free.

Good luck with the permanent move. S AL is beautiful country. I’ve made several trips up there to call coyotes. Can never stay long enough. My outfitter and everyone I’ve met through him are first-class folks. Rancher-types.
Ya’ know you have new leadership coming soon. I hope they make life better for all Canadian gun owners. All the best.

Thx Bluesman, appreciate the well wishes. It's taking a bit to get use to with the gun laws, but as you said new leadership is coming. Just got the comp rifles done and looking forward to getting out. The weather is putting a crimp on shooting and still haven't meet many in the community yet but the year is young. Hopefully you get to visit a lot more and enjoy the rockies to the fullest.
