well guys, talk about rapidly changing weather conditions, 48hrs ago the temp was 65 degrees, this morning -20. My buddy and i set out in the Sandhills of western SD, no longer than 30 seconds after the first distress sequence, this big male came charging in, i was on the camera my buddy was runnin gun, and put a nice snipe on this furred up alpha @ about 150yds... earlier this mornin i was watching Byron on mojo's coming to the call and he was talking about carefully taking a shot so it wouldn't blow someones ear drums out... if I may suggest, coming to Western South Dakota... and "getting his can on."
    as always fellas EJNOY!!!

just so you can see the area we were hunting, both pics are facing different directions, the background is continuous "choppy" sandhills, alot of work, but very fun to hunt!!!

Well I tell ya what...I'm PISSED that we've finally got some cold weather and a little bit of snow and I'm not out there with my ass parked in it.I'm down in south eastern Texas for the next 10 days or so.

Taking the .17 just in case, but I don't have my tax stamp back yet for my SS Sparrow so if I do get lucky enough to pop a dog or two, I won't be using the footage for the video.
My .243WSSM is gonna be at the doctor and I don't think my 300 SAUM is really "fur friendly" (even though I could care less) so I won't be taking a can on my trip this year.

I'll be crossing my fingers that we get a few more inches (or feet) by the time I get back.
Keep poundin dog ass skinney. Maybe you should get a sound recording of that guy you're shooting with...I bet his laugh would work good as a feeding frenzy or challenge howl.

Lol- get your can on... It is totally different hunting with the can on. I enjoy it alot more. I want to try a brevis or ti to lighten up the gun a bit, but thats a few months away. Send the snow/cold weather south....

tack another one up tonight, only not in the sandhills... doing another solo film job, had this coyote come in around the 8min mark... temp was right @ -2 pry another 10 degrees cooler factoring in the windchill.
    ENJOY!!!

Neat pics...grew up hunting dogs in the sandhills. Nothing better than calling them in on cold, still days...lots of fun!
