There is an AR15 in local FFL...it is an SNS based out of Snohomish,WA.....I looked at their site and they are out of buisness as of 1-2010. They are asking $900 for it, A3 flat top and standard pistol grip and a 2-stage trigger...not sure on make of trigger and niether is dealer, but it is 2 stage and feels good. Adjustable butstock and an Nikon Prostaff 3x9 scope that could be sold for around $100 IMO. It also has forward assist. Also a front flip up sight.

My issue is I know nothing about AR and am looking to get into them on the cheap, but since the maker SNS is closed will I be able to put any item into the rifle that is made for an AR15? I thought that was one of the nice things about that platform was it's versality.

All in all I figure I might offer $800 cash and might make my day....but I might as well be buying birthing forceps...I kinda know what it is used for but can't tell the difference between cheap-o's and nice ones.

Any opinions?

Mainly on wether SNS is worth a shit.

My brother and I have several SNS lowers, Bushmaster, DPMS and Oly lower parts kits installed easily and tight. Ours have the skull and cross bones on the side. I can't speak for his complete builds.....

Beauty....I am not sure if it was a full SNS build or what....gonna try to scrape the cash up and get ahold of the owner for the skinny on the rifle.

I figured it would be a Walmart M700 to play with untill I figure out what I want and don't like.

Thanks for the insight....

Is the pricing out of place? Also any 100% items to make me put the rifle down and walk away?
