So, as some of you may know Colt is halting production of their long guns to be sold on the public market. They claim that they are trying to regain their ground for MIL contracts. As most are aware they have also been struggling for quite some time. However, the last time they did this postering it nearly made them close the doors. Seems like a stupid move to do so again. So my question to you guys is do you think that they are doing this as a sales ploy? Or, are they doing all they can to save the brand and focusing on handguns alone? Or, are they caving to pressure from antigun groups? Or, did they catch wind of some gun control that is about to pass and are repositioning beforehand? Let’s hear it, what’s your theories?
