Yes they are. He is handsome to boot. Make sure not to touch his ears (rub, bend, pet, etc.) or they will droop.

Look at the one with him and the other students.

They're all over the place and he's just sitting there radiating discipline.

I guess I should have said that earlier. I try to work with her as much as possible... at home she does very well... but with more distractions at class its much harder. The Doby next to me was pretty good as well as long as her daddy came to class.

Re: Socks Graduation from puppy school

i was just gonna ask if those were doggles.. my pups never took to them.. i always had to cover their heads to avoid the rotor wash from the chinooks,, and they get very amped up when the shithook is coming in.. caught a few nips here and there.. lol.. ahh the joys of k9.. lol

Re: Socks Graduation from puppy school

Yeps.. they are Doggles. Ive got to heat them up a little to bend them more to her head so the straps dont have to be so tight.

I mainly got them for going out on the boat.... no real high speed low drag helicopter missions here. Just escorting the wife and me to the local sandbar for some recreation.

Re: Socks Graduation from puppy school

My 'kids' ride in my vest or jacket individually on the scoot. If I've got the two, then they're 'in the bag of giggles'. They have absolutely no problem wearing them, when we're traveling. But when we stop, they sure want them off. We used to ride for hours, straight, and they'd not complain. Stop for gas,,, then the panic is on.

Their eyes are just as important as ours, right?

Man those petsmart classes are ridiculous. I just got done with the beginner classes like you, my Husky was a shit head everytime we went to the class. he was more interested in playing with the other puppies than listening to me. Congrats to you and Socks, my wife wanted to know why you named him socks? Does he prefer to chew on socks rather than the chew toys that he has???My husky has a sock fetish, he just puked up a whole sock yesterday

Nope... no foot/sock fetishes here!

She used to have some white fir up to her first ankle on her back feet. They even had a ring around them just like a pair of old school sport socks... hence..."socks". As far as the petsmart training....She wanted to play also... but she did pretty good... not as good as being at home but pretty good. If she listens with all the other dogs and distractions... she will listen to you anywhere.

Re: Socks Graduation from puppy school

We went to the petsmart class as well and just happened to have a "substitute" teacher at the time who trained the local PD's K9 unit so we hooked up with her to do private lessons. He is an absolute dream dog the best buddy I could ever have. Almost eleven now. Make sure to spend lots of time with him.
Since we are on dog stories, when he was just a pup we took him up to the Indian reservation for an evening to get him used to crowds (very good to do) and we had the security come over and ask us to take the dog out so I did some fast thinking and said he was a seeing eye dog in training so he let us walk around. He never had so much fun with all the people giving him attention. German Shepard's have absolutely spoiled me.

Got your PM. Only if Socks comes with those bitchin goggles if not then I'm not trading.

My FN will be here maybe Friday. I think I'll be loading up some ammo and go to Tucker's grade for some load testing. What's the ETA of your FN from APA?
