I think it tracks very well, but I haven’t used any other scope yet for long distance. Until last year, I hadn’t done any long distance shooting, nothing past 300 yds. My local range features targets at approximately 465, 509, 611, 789, 953, 1285, and 1665 yds. After determining velocity, I found that I was able to use my StrelokPro app to calculate firing solutions to consistently hit the targets out to the 953 yd. target and then go back down to previous settings and hit the shorter targets. I’d seen that done in a review video, pretty cool doing it myself. I had the right elevation on the 1285 but I missed some because of wind. I did hit the target at 1665 but over three different trips to the range I had to adjust as many as 6 clicks elevation. It has been on a RPR .338 LM. I was shooting a lot better by my 3rd trip. I practiced trigger squeeze and worked on recoil management and it helped a lot.

I bought a Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56 on here and I’ve only just handled it so far but there is a difference in the clicks. I don’t think I’d call it an issue, but the knobs on the Ares ETR are a bit spongy in comparison. As I said above it was consistent on elevation clicks out to 1285, it just feels different.

    Thanks for asking.
