This pack is one of the best I have seen for carrying and protecting a spotting scope by using the rifle scabbard pocket without the lower section extended, very will protected, even if pack is dropped it is well protective compared to all the side pouch and side pocket carry of spotting scopes.

This rifle pocket easily carries my Kowa 88mm angled spotting scope with 25-60 eye piece, and easily carries a tripod using the lower bow pouch.
