This is a Military Prototype I purchased directly from USO some time back. They took a LR-17 and changed the power to 3-23x to meet a potential contract parameters. It is a FFP MIL GAP reticle with side paralax adjustment with a little play in it, I was told this was a byproduct of the boost in range. NO serial number, a true one of a kind. TPAL side focus. 34mm tube. Red illumination, 2015 manufacture.

Is there any tunneling going from 3x and up?

Yeah,there’s a little from about 3- 4/4.5x
I compared it against a S&B 5-25 and the S&B does it worse
